What is the neural pathway for gustation?

The taste is initially perceived by the sensory neurons on the tongue (on the papillae); the signal is carried through three cranial nerves (the facial gall (VII), the glossopharyngeal nerve (IX) and the vagus fortitude (X) ) to the brainstem.
The solitary nucleus in the brainstem receive the information about piece and projects to other nuclei surrounded by the brainstem and to parts of the limbic system (e.g. hypothalamus and cingulate gyrus).
Take a look on Wikipedia, otherwise get some correct book (like the Kandel, "principles of neural science").
